OFFENSE:
I understand the weather sucked yesterday.
I understand we are replacing a lot of players from the past two seasons, but....................I think the reason people are kind bummed is b/c this offense looks a lot like the Pre-Jameis years (some of those we were not "rebuilding"). It is the same disjointed mess that makes you wonder wtf is going on. It is hard to watch offenses plug in freshmen year after year and our freshmen never do anything. It is hard to watch coaches show up at uf and michigan and score more than our team. (No one on warchant believes we would have scored 38 on ole miss and we can barely score 24 on wake). It really is head scratching.
QB - there was no reason to ever bring Golson here, no need in having an inexperienced QB again in 16/17. If golson was SO much better than what we had on the roster he would be at ND still.
OL - for the life of me they are young every year, they are always the issue and weakness of the offense.
WR - stop recruiting these midgets, no more than 2 on the roster at any given time. Harrison/Campbell/Lane/Rudolph should be playing with kermit/bobo needing a much smaller role.
DEFENSE:
Kelly is just boring and not very good. I get college offenses score points, but shezz his defense seems SO vanilla. We dont use our talent it feels. Stoops last two defense (2011&2012) and Pruitt one defense (2013) vs Kelly's two defenses (2014 & 2015) there is an obvious difference.
Though Jimbo has earned a lot of respect and presided, coached, and recruited one of the best teams in college football history (2013) he doesnt get his due b/c of efforts like yesterday. Had we played in the Big 12, SEC, or Pac-12 his record would be vastly different over the past 6 years (except 2013). The ACC covers a lot of our warts. This is a rebuilding year so Jimbo do your thing, just wanted to say my two cents from a fans perspective.
