Florida State (11-4, 2-2 ACC) play at Clemson (12-4, 4-1) on Saturday at 2 p.m. The game will be on ESPNU.
Clemson has won four straight games in the rivalry. And the Tigers have won five consecutive matchups in Clemson.
FSU is coming off an 80-65 win at Miami, the first road victory of the 2024-25 season. The Seminoles have now won four of their last five games and pulled to .500 in the ACC.
Malique Ewin leads the ACC by making 58.8 percent of his shots from the floor. He has made 70 percent of his shots (35 of 50) in FSU's four ACC games.
Taylor Bol Bowen's last four games have really shown what he can offer the Seminoles - scoring, rebounding, defense. He has averaged 12.8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.
Jamir Watkins has scored in double figures in 14 of 15 games this season. But what's impressive about FSU's two wins over Syracuse and Miami is that Watkins hasn't played his best. He had 10 points, three rebounds and three assists at Miami (he did make 2 of 3 3-pointers and had some nice drives to the rim). And against Syracuse, Watkins shot 3 of 10 from the floor and had five turnovers before finishing with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Led by 10 assists from Daquan Davis, the Seminoles earned a season-high 26 assists in 32 baskets in their win over Miami on Wednesday night in Coral Gables. The 26 assists tied the Florida State record for most team assists in an ACC game (also 26 against NC State on January 15, 1995, 26 against Clemson on Feb. 20, 2017, and 26 against Boston College on February 20, 2017).
The Tigers are coming off a loss at Louisville on Tuesday. They have double-digit wins in the ACC against Wake, Stanford, Cal and Miami.
FSU is back home on Wednesday to face Pittsburgh at 9 p.m., with a home game against Georgia Tech to follow on Jan. 18 at noon.
