A team needs a good (hopefully great) quarterback before they feel like they can win. It's been many years since we had someone behind center that could be relied on. I knew as soon as we were rotating QBs today that we were in trouble. That's the most glaring problem, zero continuity in that area.
I'm not ready to write off Norvell, but he's going to be in trouble if he can't find or develop a QB before too long.
People talk about how Jameis made Jimbo, but so did Ponder and EJ. Both were good college QBs that weren't Heisman quality like Jameis but that their teams could believe in.
It's easier said than done but Wake Forest was crashing down all day and we couldn't run the ball unless we got to the edge. They had zero respect for our QBs and so every team on our schedule will do the same thing because they know if we can't run the ball then we won't win.
