Warchant TV: Jimbo Fisher post-practice
POST-PRACTICE UPDATE
Jimbo said today was a lot better than the first day. This was FSU's third practice of the spring. He said the second was much better than the first. Still not totally where he wants to see it, but good overall.
Said it was good to see guys in full pads. Gives a clearer picture of where guys are with technique, etc.
From a news perspective, Matthew Thomas DID practice. He came late. He apparently is dealing with a minor illness.
The biggest news was that Ryan Green has moved back to RB from CB. Fisher said he looks very good there. We'll have more on that in a notebook later.
On the QBs, Fisher said they all had their ups and downs. Wouldn't single any of them out good or bad.
As for the other injuries, Fisher said Kilby-Lane was out with a hip flexor. Chris Casher (hamstring) and Auden Tate (groin) should be back at practice Monday
Fisher said Ja'Vonn Harrison has been great, really standing out, but got a turf toe injury. Not sre on his return.
Demarcus Christmas is limited some with a hamstring.
Will have more soon.
EARLY UPDATE
Howdy folks. Just got back from the early portion of Saturday's practice. Here's some updates:
This was the first practice in full pads.
One notable absence was LB Matthew Thomas. Not sure what the deal was, but we will ask Jimbo when we're done.
Aside from the guys who we already knew about their injuries, there were a few more guys sitting out or rehabbing -- WR Auden Tate, LB Sh'Mar Kilby-Lane and TE Chris Casher were the main ones I noticed.
On the QBs -- still going Cosentino first, Francois second and Henry third during the portions we saw. I still think Francois looks the sharpest passing from the pocket and on the move. Sean Maguire is out there rehabbing his ankle.
One more possible position note -- Adam Torres was working with the defensive ends. He has done that before at times. We'll see if it's a permanent switch or just cross-training.
Former 'Nole QB Clint Trickett was attending practice, as were a number of recruits. Michael will have an update on those guys on the Premium Recruiting Board.
We will have a full rundown from practice once we talk with Jimbo around 2. Look for photos, video and more this afternoon.
