It is a reasonable observation but I work in healthcare and question the value of comparing the U.S. data to countries who have no real diversity in their population. Nearly 98% of all residents in Japan are of a Japanese ethnicity. According to the CDC link below, the virus has a much more serious impact on minorities generally

Also, I am not convinced that all countries are using the same metrics but interesting data none the less.
