Star Wars Preview

Looked even better than the teasers we were given a while back. I'm really excited about this and I think JJ has hit it out of the park.

I was able to survive the fandango crash and score two tickets to an opening morning IMAX 3D show as well.

The nerd in me is happy.

Got a glimpse of Leia - but still no Like. Wonder if there is a twist.

Thought there was a glimpse of him at the 1:41 mark.. There's a guy with R2D2 with a mechanical hand

I think they turn him into a recluse like Obi and Yoda. Spend part of this movie looking for him and then he features in the next 2 films.

Makes me wonder what the heck happened after Episode VI when the Vader suit is being burned and all the good guys are celebrating which would look like for eternity.

I'm really curious who leads the new dark side and how did start? I guess we will find out...

I got tickets for the daughter and I for Thursday the 17th. It's a 10pm show, which is WAY too late for her to be up on a school night, but the next day is the day before they get out for Christmas break. I'm guessing the kids and the teachers will be mentally checked out that day. And if it looks like she has actual work or tests to do that day, I can always exchange the tickets for another day/time.

I think the hand sitting affectionately on R2's head is Luke's. My favorite part of the trailer, by the way, is when Han tells them all the old stories about are true. I like when they build the events that we, the audience, have already witnessed into legend.

I am excited about the movie, I love Star Wars.

That trailer was cheesy though- seemed fan-made.

As long as they don't dwell on it TOO much ... Jurassic World IMO had the right amount of reference to the previous installments.

Never got into the whole Star Wars saga...Kind of wish I could seeing all the excitement surrounding the new one coming out. I did watch the original 3(I think there were 3) Then they totally lost me in the computer generated series.

This is where I'm at. Loved the original three as a kid. Had no interest in the three prequels. I must admit seeing the original characters piqued my interest a bit. But if the storyline is all tied in with the last three movies that I didn't see, I probably would be lost.

Same here.

remember that, chronologically, the original trilogy comes last, therefore closer in time to the new movies than the much inferior prequels. that should give us all some hope. a new hope. hey!

Yeah, but if they start referencing Siths and a bunch of other back story that was introduced in the prequels, I'm gonna glaze over.

well Siths were mentioned in the original three, but I get what you're saying. I sincerely doubt we'll ever hear the word "midiclorians" again, other than from people asking why the hell that scene wasn't cut. Hopefully there will be no pod races either. ;)

It sounds like they are going back to the Force as being a mystical force and not related to some energy field created by an alien virus-like species.

I think Luke's for sure a mix of both side, remember how he force choked those guards at Jabba's palace? He really seemed to relish that back and forth with Jabba too.

I for one would love it. Who would be his apprentice? Perhaps Jacen Solo.

A lot of people are guessing that Kylo Ren and Rey are actually brother and sister and the daughter and son of either Luke or more likely Leia.
