Star Wars Preview

Luke was always meant/destined to bring balance to the force. It's highly probably that he's a mix of both where one wins out depending on his emotional state. Luke is essentially a metaphor for all people, we're all a little of both.

I recently watched an interesting video of deleted scenes from RotJ.

In the first clip, might Luke have been switching the color of his lightsaber from green to red, then back again?

That could be what Lucas was intending to show although I would be remiss in my dorkdom if I didn't point out that in the EU (which I know is not acceptable anymore EXCEPT it was then reaffirmed in Star Wars Clone Wars and Rebels which is still canon) it's not a switch that controls the color but the type of crystal used as the focusing emitter.

Hashtag/Playing Kotor on my iPhone as we speak hence my specific lightsaber knowledge.

Yep, definitely the type of crystal. My nerd confession for the week: the very first thing I looked up in the Internet on my first stroll the the information super highway: how lightsabers are made in the Star Wars universe.
