Honestly, up until Frenchy getting hurt I was not so bummed at what had unfolded. We have a great team and brilliant defense. The oline IS much improved. We simply were not quite as prepared in special teams and Alabama, under what we have to admit is best college football coach ever, certainly of modern era, had his guys near flawless.

Frenchy going down was kick to the nuts and hurts. But it may force Jimbo to run a bit more. We have a great corp at the RB position. You would never know that watching game last night, but we do.

That is a homerun post and sums up my thoughts exactly.

Well I, as I usually do, turned the game off after the 1st int.

Not me. Id actually rather have the walk on Rizzo than JJ. Hockman might even be ahead of him as well.

I do think Hockman is as well. I'm not really thinking long term where I guess the other two have more potential. I'm just thinking about the All Canes Conference game in two weeks.

I feel awful for 12. I hope Blackman is ready. He's got 1 warm up before getting thrown into the lions' den. Need to the team to rally around him.

Not me. Poor kid is quintessential deer in headlights out there. It is amazing and perhaps hopeful on Blackman's rise up the charts. He must have excited folks.

Tough to lose him but if we have a good season with a backup QB I think we'll get a lot of credit for that and for playing the tough schedule. And I think the media may lay off us a bit. This season might surprise us all.
