Thought Kelly did a better job than Jimbo tonight. Jimbo's best play will probably keep him up at night as a result of the bile in the back of his throat.

I realized today, if you are torn apart internally debating whether it is defense or play calling on offense, that you are screwed and your team sucks

Glad I didn't stay home to watch. Daughter had an end of season party. I played kick ball on the parents team. We kicked their little asses. It was like Kelly was calling their defense.

As for this game, just finished off the DVR. I watched half on 4x speed because I couldn't stand it.
The first half was as bad as our offense has played. Jimbo calling passes out of the end zone when blackmon getting destroyed was brilliant. Defense fighting over fumbles until Clemson gets there.
Second half was marginally better but still stepped all over our dicks. Then dabo being dabo.
Time to drink.

So stubborn on Offense. The opposing D doesn't have to account for the QB on any play. Cam is obviously the weapon and he gets used in a mysterious disappearing act. As was mentioned earlier by RTM, need to pick up a short yard and take the slowest developing play in the book. Take an eternity to think of a play, have to have it signaled in by hand gestures, then QB has to call it, then get to the line with no time, and then rip the QB for your failure. Disgusting. Finally score the first 3Q TD this season. Claim the team is inches away. 3 wins.

Just as well I went out to Harry’s for dinner for the second quarter through start of the fourth and just brought us up to speed on the ole DVR. I got some decent creole food and I still got to see us lose. So...win “win”.

Missouri cheerleaders are hot and Mark Right is old. Random thoughts.......

Right now I would take about every coach on their staff. They have those men fired up and playing with intensity. There are not very many players on that team that have the talent of FSU's first string but just look at the effort. Says volumes.
I have zero issue with any of the coaching tonight. A coach's job is to put their players in position to make plays to win the game. They did that. The players must execute. They did not do that.

MSU is giving Bama everything they want right now ...excellent game plan to run clock and just pound on that depleted LB group

we could have 1 2 and 3 lose today

Disagree with you completely on Offense. Jimbo makes a huge mistake by not making the other defense account for the QB. It is limiting to the entire team as that puts the Defense back on the field while limiting the potential for points. That is all coaching.

I do understand, and agree, with your point though on how our team rarely seems to make the difficult catch or all of the overthrown passes today.

You can say the same for Miami, Syracuse, Wake, NC State, Alabama, Duke, Louisville...

When more is put on Blackman, he makes mistakes. Huge ones against Louisville and again today. Opposing coaches know the QB is where the weakness lies.

Going back and forth between games , and it is always tough to tell how good Big 12 teams really are , but the Sooners offense looks like a group that any Power 5 team is going to struggle to contain.

Then you agree with part of my point. By not simplifying some things and incorporating the possibility of the QB running the Coaches put even more pressure on Blackman by not only FSU's passing scheme but the defense never even has to account for that possibility (ZR).

The offensive play calling was so predictable tonight. Run middle or throw deep. We then switch it up slightly in the second half and throw a few underneath routes. Dawsey, Trickett, Kelly, Vic need to go and Jimbo needs to relinquish control of the offense.

He is only playing with ~25% of the playbook now. How much simpler can it get? Blackman is built like a small forward on the basketball team. Do you know anyone who is 6'5" and 170 #'s? You want to buy him a pizza. His hits need to limited not increased by running him more.
