Over the last two seasons FSU has brought in Lawayne McCoy (24), Elijah Moore (24), Camdon Frier (24), Jalen Brown (Transfer-24), Jayvan Boggs (25), Jordan Scott (Juco), Teriq Mallory (25), Squirrel White (Transfer-25), Duce Robinson-Transfer-25). That is 9 wide receivers over a two year period. With the recent move of Danzy to wideout FSU has plenty of depth. The question now is who stays and goes after this season. BJ Gibson and Hykeem Williams are also on the roster heading into 2025.

For 2026 FSU already has a commitment from Efrem White (Vero Beach). He has been utilized more as an athlete for his high school team. He is probably this team’s version of Christian Green. FSU will most likely sign 2-3 wide receivers in the upcoming class. The biggest issue is Florida does not have the top end talent this year compared to the prior two years. The talent at the top and throughout the receiver class is nowhere near as good. We do have some names of players FSU will go after. We will also breakdown the tight end position as FSU will look to sign 2 players at that position in 2026.

Wide Receivers

1) Calvin Russell-Miami Northwestern-6'6-175 -
Russell is the top target in Florida this year. He has great size. He also is fluid for a big guy. Many times you get this big and receivers are stiff. I feel he is a more athletic version of Johnny Wilson. In the state title game when Northwestern threw him the ball, Russell made some nice plays. He has the size and speed you want at receiver. He also has pretty good hands. He came out and said that he wants to get away from home. That is a good sign as UM seemed to be a team that would be tough to beat. (Player Comp: Drake London)

2) Jasen Lopez-Chaminade-6'0-160-Also known as JROC. Lopez is the most polished receiver in Florida. He runs very good routes. He has great hands. He is able to go up and snatch the ball from defensive backs. He is very competitive. He is a receiver that is going to outwork the guy opposite him. You can’t argue with his production. (Player Comp: Xavier Restrepo)

3) Brandon Bennett-American Heritage Plantation-6'0-160-He is fast. Bennett runs a 10.4 (100m) and a 21.06 (200m). He can flat out run. He made a big kick return for a touchdown in the state title game last year. His speed can change a game. He is not the biggest receiver. He is someone that is just scratching the surface with his talent. (Player Comp: Xavier Worthy)

4) Samourian Wingo-St Augustine-6'2-180-Wingo could be the dark horse in this year’s class. It would not surprise us to see him end up the best receiver to come out of this year’s class. He has size. He can run. He has very good body control. The game seems to come easy to him. (Player Comp: Keon Coleman)

5) Denarius Gray - Chaminade-6'1-170 (Committed to Auburn). Gray is going to have a big senior season. He comes from a program that is producing D1 receivers every year now. Gray is not flashy. He just goes out and makes plays. He is not the biggest or fastest receiver. That being said he runs solid routes. He displays pretty good hands. He is reliable when the game is on the line. (Player Comp: Terry McLaurin)

Tight Ends

1) Corbyn Fordham-The Bolles School-6'4-210-
Fordham committed early to Ohio State. He is someone that FSU is still going to go all in for. He runs very good routes. He extends plays for his quarterback by the way he runs routes. He has very good hands. You will will watch him snatch balls out of the air. When a defender comes up he uses his body like a rebounder in basketball and will box out guys. He is very difficult to defense. His father is a former FSU player. (Player Comp: Mark Andrews)

2) Kekua Aumua-IMG Academy-6'6-270-Aumua is probably the biggest tight end on the board outside of Heze Kent. Aumua is a big, long, athletic tight end. If tight end does not work out he will end up as tackle in college. He is listed as a 3 star prospect but this kid could end up a five star tackle in college. These are guys you want to sign and they end up outliving their ranking.

3) Javar Bowden - Bay-6'7-200-Bowden is another big, long, athletic tight end. He is a big receiver who is going to develop into a tight end. He goes up and gets the football. He does a good job of high pointing the ball.

4) Julius Miles-Freeport-6'6-200-This is the year of receivers with size. Miles is 6'6-200 pounds. If there is a target that FSU is going after hard outside of Fordham is Miles. He also is a very difficult match up for defenses. You can't put a corner on him as his size is a major miss-match. You put a linebacker on Miles and he will run away from him.
