Almost everyone would agree Trey's suspension for the 1st half of a game for the following season is irrational and unfair. My guess is that the rules makers didn't even consider the possibility of a personal foul in the 2nd half of a bowl game disqualifying a player in a game in a different season.
So here's the question: Has anyone at FSU appealed the decision, and tried to get a waiver? Or have the rules committee clarify that they intended to do this?
How many other players are in this situation? Of that affected group, is anyone else playing in a competitive game?
For example:
Clemson plays Kent State
USC plays Western Michigan
Washington plays Rutgers
Oklahoma plays UTEP
Oklahoma State plays Tulsa
Ohio State plays Indiana
Wisconsin plays Utah State
Penn State plays Akron
