Softball Updates: FSU-Auburn (Sunday at 6 p.m.)

Sunday's Regional Final of the 2024 Tallahassee Regional will be played at 6 p.m. at JoAnne Graf Field.

If necessary, Game 7 will begin at 8:30 p.m. or approximately 35 minutes after the conclusion of Game 6. Florida State will play Auburn.

Auburn asked for the delay because they played so late into last night

It could be both reasons (TV and a late night for Auburn).

ESPN is slotting good matchups on its networks. Sounds like FSU-Auburn is 6 p.m. on ESPN2, which is a great window for fans (and recruits watching). With the shade structure, it will provide some relief for fans at the park. After seeing some earlier games on Friday and Saturday on ESPN+, tonight's game on FSU-Auburn is a far better distribution.

The NCAA messed up the Women's CWS so poorly in 2021 that they put in restrictions on how late games can start and how much rest athletes need in a turnaround for the next game. I'll be curious to ask about this tonight.
