I'm holed up in a hotel in Baton Rouge doing work with the tournament on in the back ground. My word....Holly Sonders.....Fox doesn't stray from the formula does it...

Oh my. I may have to start watching golf.
Oh I prefer the front for sure
Front 9 or back??
I'd probably take one shot and then head back to the 19th.I would play 36, personally. Front and back twice.
Koepka with a good start. The threesome of Spieth/Mickelson/McIlroy struggling big. Windy at Shinnecock! Also, love Zinger as a commentator, Go Noles!
Ha! Man he struggled today, as did several others. I gotta pull for Koepka and agree Tiger misses cut. Course really beat up Spieth and McIlroy, Phil & Bubba too. Martin Kaymer: +13Who thinks Tiger misses the cut?
Was thinking the same thing when it was misting heavily. Looked like a Open alright, British.Looks more like they're playing in Scotland not in the Hamptons.

Don’t forget all controversy from the 2004 U.S. Open. U.S.G.A. looked bad after that. This isn’t my cup of tea, personally. I like to see the players score, at least to some extent. “Survival mode” golf is not entertaining in my view.
If par is a good score, then the USGA has done its job.I like to see PGA players sweat the conditions.

Yeah. I agree. We get to watch them score every other week. I don't mind watching them have to be precise for one week at the US Open.In general I prefer that, too - but I like watching them battle the overly tough conditions of the US Open every year.
Hang out on his yacht with some...Wonder what Tiger will do with the rest of his weekend?
With the way the weather is getting better, I don't see the cut falling that far. He's T-99 after the morning groups are done. That's a lot of golfers falling.Tiger(-10) probably just made the cut with birdies on the last two holes.
True, the weather getting better could be bad news for Tiger. With the way the weather is getting better, I don't see the cut falling that far. He's T-99 after the morning groups are done. That's a lot of golfers falling.
FWIW, Espin has the projected cut at +6.True, the weather getting better could be bad news for Tiger.
