It started with Arena's lineup and tactics. I'm pretty sure that might've been our oldest starting lineup....ever. In the heat. Against a bunch of ridiculously fast 21yr olds. Yeah, bright idea there....

Bradley played atrociously, yet...he was middle-of-the-pack in terms of overall play of the team. It was excruciatingly bad. Thank God for Bobby Wood. Even though it's a point, Arena should be seriously questioned for these last 2 matches.

Panama moved into 3rd with a win over T&T. We have to beat Panama at least draw with T&T. Beating Panama would only move us 2 points ahead for 3rd. Panama will host Costa Rica in the final match and will likely face a Costa Rica squad that is resting players as their spot is secure with a decent chance at points. Hold on to your hats, boys.

Panama is a must win. Win that one, and the US should have no trouble beating T&T. Winning both games is the only path to guaranteed qualification at the moment. It wasn't looking good late yesterday, but at least the USA now completely controls their own destiny. Even if Honduras manages to win their final two game to end up even in points with the US, I see no way they can make up the very large goal differential the US now has over them.
