FSU sports information:

The fourth-ranked Florida State women's soccer (5-0-0) begins their quest for a sixth ACC regular season championship on Friday afternoon with a top 10 matchup against No. 8 Clemson (6-0-2) at Riggs Field. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. and can be seen live on ACC Network Extra. The Seminoles have won five consecutive matches against Clemson.

Last Time Out
Beata Olsson played a perfect ball for Jody Brown in the 76th minute, and Brown found the back of the net to give the No. 5 Florida State women's soccer team (5-0-0) a 1-0 victory over rival Florida (4-1-2) on Sunday afternoon at the Seminole Soccer Complex. This was the Seminoles' sixth consecutive win over the Gators which is the longest streak by either team in the series.

Jody Brown Doing Jody Brown Things
Jody Brown broke onto the scene last week as she scored three goals in two games. Brown recorded the game-winning goal against both North Florida and Florida including a goal in the 76th minute to break the 0-0 tie with the Gators.

Dominating the Second Half
The Seminoles have been unstoppable in the final 45 minutes of their first five matches. In the second half this season, FSU is outscoring their opponent 11-1 compared to just a 3-1 advantage in the first half. Under Head Coach Brian Pensky, the Seminoles have outscored their opponents 52-11 in the second half.

Spreading the Wealth
Through five games, the Seminoles have had seven different goal scorers to start the season. Jordynn Dudley, Taylor Huff, Beata Olsson, Leah Pais, Olivia Garcia, Onyi Echegini and Jody Brown have all scored goals for the Seminoles this season.

Suffocating Defense
The Florida State defense has been dominant all season long, allowing just two goals in four games. In the last three matches, FSU has allowed just seven total shots and has only allowed 10 or more shots once this season when they allowed 10 shots to Texas A&M in the first match of the season. This is the first time since from Nov. 12-21, 2021, that the Seminoles have had three consecutive games holding a team under five total shots.

Dominance Away From Home
The Seminoles are also impressive away from the friendly confines of the Seminole Soccer Complex, posting a true road record of 54-18-10 (.716) since 2013, as well as a neutral site mark of 25-6-4 (.771).

FSU Versus the ACC
The Seminoles have an all-time ACC record of 158-81-27 (.645). Florida State is 126-35-21 (.750) in league play since 2005. Since 2005, FSU is 74-11-7 (.842) against league opponents at home and 52-24-14 (.656) on the road. FSU has finished no lower than second place (including ties) in the ACC 14 times (2005-10, 2012-15, 2019-22) over the last 18 years, claiming five regular season titles (2009, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2022).
