Here's the highlights from what Norvell had to say today. In his opening statement, he said they were very aggressive with their installations. Good first day, guys flying around. Got a lot of good film to teach off of, it was what he wanted on the first day.
On RB Trey Benson, said they really challenged him coming out of spring. Strong and explosive back. Wants to see him play with better pad level. Today he had an emphasis on playing lower. Said Benson can be a game-breaking type player with the skill set he has.
On OL depth, also praised the DL depth. More opportunities for reps for both sides and that's a great benefit.
Said he's seen growth with the mental focus, but wants the consistency to be the best it's ever been.
On what was the most encouraging thing he saw, said the speed. Guys flying around defensively.
Comparing day one of fall camp to 2021, said it is night and day. Now its about pushing it to another level.
The post-practice interviews are on this thread.
