Wednesday wasn't like Tuesday when FSU welcomed back one of its star players in running back Dalvin Cook. But there are a few items of note. We're not meeting with Fisher today but we are meeting with him Thursday.

The most notable item from Wednesday was probably the offensive line. OL Derrick Kelly, who has been getting first-team reps, was sidelined with some light tape on his right ankle. OL Cole Minshew was wearing a boot on his right foot and Abdul Bello had some light tape wrapped around his right knee.

As for the line itself, today's first team members were Roderick Johnson, Kareem Are, Alec Eberle, Wilson Bell and Brock Ruble, who was filling in for Kelly. Trickett was really heavy on emphasizing technical items like getting into the right stance, moving with the play and other details.

DB Tarvarus McFadden was out. Fisher said Tuesday the former Plantation American Heritage star would be out until next week. WR Nyqwan Murray was also on the sidelines with his right hand wrapped up. Also, DB Marcus Lewis was still on crutches.

DE Chris Casher was in shorts but continued to work on his conditioning. Saw Casher plowing through a few dummies and his movement appeared fluid and smooth.

WR George Campbell, LB Sh'Mar Kilby-Lane and DE Lorenzo Featherston were all wearing blue non-contact jerseys.

NFL teams checking out practice today were the 49ers, Steelers and Titans.

Although this is our only practice update, we still have more coming on the site later this evening. In the meantime, feel free to visit the front page and read the diary our Michael Langston did with five-star cornerback and FSU commit Levonta Taylor.

Until next time. Goodbye for now.
