Last month I saw the Foo Fighters in Tampa. Next month I'll see Weezer and The Pixies in Tampa.

Three excellent bands and some of my favorites live. The Foo is probably my second favorite overall experience (meaning fun + music quality) along with the Barenaked Ladies with Weezer and the Pixies not too far behind. From a fun experience not music quality experience, I only prefer Andrew WK and Gwar to the Foo. And in musical talent plus great hits alone...honestly I can’t think of much better.

Chris Stapleton at the Houston Rodeo.

Next - Willie Nelson's Outlaw Festival @ The Woodlands on July 1st. Should be a fun show if Willie is able to play. He's been sick. WILLIE NELSON & FAMILY, STURGILL SIMPSON, THE HEAD AND THE HEART, RYAN BINGHAM, EDIE BRICKELL & NEW BOHEMIANS, THE WILD FEATHERS, LUKAS NELSON & PROMISE OF THE REAL AND PARTICLE KID

Last: technically Plain White T's and Wallflowers, as they played Margarita Fest last weekend. Jacob Dylan I'm pretty sure was drunk, as he kept referring to Tampa as "Fort Lauderdale" (until the crowd finally started chanting "Tampa!" and someone on stage told him late into the set). Before that, it was Badfish at Jannus.

Next: probably Slightly Stoopid/Stick Figure at Vinoy Park end of July.

Saw Joe Bonamassa this past Saturday in San Antonio and then The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan in Austin on Sunday!
Both were really good shows.
Next up? Not sure. The wife would like to see Fleetwood Mac in February!

I saw them back then as well, and yes they were a different band back then. I still enjoy their shows, plus I get to take my 11 year old daughter with me now. Her first concert was the July Metallica show in ATL, and she will be with me for the next 2 as well.

Took our kids to a Metallica concert in Dallas. Kinda got hot for James Hetfield walking around the stage in some tight leather pants. Thanks for that memory. :)

I see quite a few shows, and frankly don't know what the most recent one was, but I do know next up is the MC5 at the Variety Playhouse here in Atlanta. Kick Out the Jams 50th anniversary tour. Only one living member left, but I'm sure it'll be quite loud.

Dang, I am seriously out of touch. I recognize the Eagles, Buffett, G&R, Chesney, Swift, and maybe one or two others mentioned here. Music left me in the 70s.

James Taylor at the Panthers arena a few weeks ago. Was a good time. Don’t have much to compare it to as it’s one of the only concerts I’ve been to in my life.

I’m at my friend’s Prince tribute band show in Destin right now. Next up: Weezer and the Pixies in Nashville next month.

Chicago in Tallahassee two weeks ago. They played their entire second album, which is 50 years old! Three of the original seven members were there. They sounded great.

LOVE Chicago. One of those groups whose songs you will always remember the words to! If I'd known they were going to be in Tally I would have been there for sure.

During the late 60s and 70s, we saw some marvelous artists like Simon and Garfunkel, Elton John, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and James Taylor, but we got tired of the crowds and hassle. Our last big concerts were Dylan in the early 80s and Delbert McClinton in the late 90s...both in Houston. I don't find large venues attractive any more, but the occasional club shows with regional people like Robert Earl Keen and Ray Wiley Hubbard are fun.

The trombone player, James Pankow, who’s in his mid 70s, was jumping around on stage like a 20-something. They played for almost 2 1/2 hours.

Texas artists and red dirt music is just plain damn fun. Miss it still!

It is the best music out there if you ask me. Not just fun but music that is not frivolous crap like what mainstream Nashville country is.

The Beach Boys (Brian Wilson and Al Jardine) at a fundraiser - small venue.
Bryan Adams at Red Rocks - best venue I have ever attended :)

Last - Black Jacket Symphony playing Led Zep IV in Chattanooga. Next, John Driskel Hopkins of Zack Brown Band this weekend. Molly Hatchet, Atlanta Rhythm Section in July.

Have you ever seen this before? Guy was covering Matisyahu in a coffee shop and Matisyahu starts harmonizing with him. The whole time the guy playing has no idea who it is until the end of the song.
YES! Someone posted it to Reddit last month. I almost posted it in this thread.

edit: can't blame the guy. He does look totally different now.

Have you been to the Hollywood Bowl? That’s my favorite venue so far (other than the parking which is a nightmare).

I'm pretty excited to see them. The daughter's gotten to like some of their music, so it should be a good time.

The Pixies trip me out. I love them and have seen them 4 or 5 times, but it is crazy how a band from the late 80s early 90s that had 2 albums (maybe 3), who hasnt released anything of significance since (I know they have one newer album), is always now one of the top tickets when they tour and still has such a following.

They had 4 albums in a row that were spectacular.

The rest of your post is still valid though.

Last music concert - Zac Brown Band
Last comedy concert - Bill Engvall

No plans as of yet for the next concert.

Last was this past Friday. Black Jacket Symphony played Dark Side of the Moon at Miller Theater in Augusta GA. Excellent show if u like Pink Floyd

Last was Brian Culbertson at the Florida Theater (third row!!)

Next??? I could spend a fortune on concerts but the wife isn't really into them. Really wanted to see Matisyahu a couple of weeks ago in St. Aug, but didn't.
Been wanting to hit up Matisyahu as well. He has played at Prohibition Kitchen, a small bar/restaurant venue on St. George St. which I’m sure is where you were referencing.

Last concert for me was Chicago and Doobie Brothers at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville. Next will be Don McLean at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

It’s so sad that I can’t even remember the last show I saw. It probably was Asia at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta in 2012. Jeez.
