Can someone who knows tell me what has happened with JJ. I am not trying to throw him or any other FSU player under the bus, but something has gone sideways with JJ since he got to FSU. I know Jimbo can't be right 100% of the time, but this is a significant swing and a miss. I am sure JJ is a great young man so this is about performance and not character.
I remember JF talking about JJ like he was the second coming of Dan Marino. Big strong kid who could sling it all over the yard. If I remember right, his high school ran an option offense and JJ ran it a bunch. Right now he is the #1 back-up but only by default. Nothing in any of on the field play instills any confidence in him being the guy if DF goes down.
I really thought he was going to be a big time in the pocket passer with enough mobility to get out of trouble and extend plays if necessary. Now I am guessing that Rizzo or Hockman will be the backup. Rizzo won a state championship and even though Hockman is freshman, he gets the entire spring practice and we all know coach's kids are usually pretty good at picking up an offense.
Anyway just hoping someone in the know can shed some light on the JJ FSU thought they were getting and the JJ we now see on the field.
