I'm going in June for a week. My Uncle has a house there and I invited myself. I have no clue where it is.

What's good to do?

Totally biased because I grew up there (Lakewood H.S.), but I think St. Pete is great.

Downtown St. Pete - lots of bars - I like $5 Bucks Drinkery - try the barbecue/Mac&Cheese sandwich - I know how it sounds, but try it. / Mandarine Hide 2 doors down is more upscale if that's your thing. My last two trips I have ended up there.

St. Pete Beach - Go park at the Undertow (also try that place at night) or somewhere like that rather than at Passagrille.

Go to a Ray's game - people complain about the Trop like its a horrible experience, but I think its fun.

Golf - Plenty of fun golf courses around

Go to Ft. Desoto - fun to see the fort. If you have a boat (or friend with a boat), take a ride over to Egmont Key. If you go that far, you can continue on if you wish to Passage Key aka Naked Island (really just a sandbar now).

How are the beaches?

The beaches have some of the best sand you'll ever see. I always just hang around the Don Cesar. Perfect little spot there. Ft. Desoto, some really cool spots there. The beaches aren't quite as nice, but that's a fun spot to bring your bike and ride around a bit.....again, if you have a boat, try to get across over the Shell Island to walk around etc.

You coming alone or taking someone? What do you like to do? Where are you staying?.

Good suggestions so far, but with a little more detail, I might be able to steer you in a direction.

Plenty of places rent stand up paddle boards(as well as kayaks, and jet skis, and boats) now, there are also ferries that can take you to egmont if you can't get there otherwise. Or you can learn how to sail, or kiteboard.

I'm going with family. Not sure where we're staying exactly in St. Pete. I like restaurants and beaches. Laid back and low key and not too expensive, if possible :)

Renting a boat or jet ski sounds cool. Tell me more, please :)
