I've been off since yesterday and don't go back until Monday the 27th. I have 13 "use them or lose them" days to get rid of before the end of the year. Will be in the office for a total of 6 days in the month of December.
Of course I'm still answering phone calls and returning emails but just not from the office.

I'm working everything but Thanksgiving and the day after.

I have 12 days of vacation saved up at the moment, but I work from home, which means I can really work from anywhere, so I don't really need to take vacation unless I'm going on a trip out of the country, or a cruise, or things like that.

I can roll over 10 days and bank them for next year, which is what I'm planning to do. I have a lot of travel that I want to do in 2018 and I'll need them then.

Work Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

I also have several days left to use before the end of the year. I can carry over three, but I'll still end up losing a couple. For the second year in a row, I just don't take enough days off throughout the year - I guess it's poor planning on my part.

I have about 10 days to burn by end of year. To not lose them, I am taking all of next week off. Logging off this afternoon and then going to shut the work laptop off. But if my teams need me, I will return; my people are my masters. Technically I am called a "servant master."

Working Monday and Tuesday physically in the office and of course by phone on Wednesday. Return on Monday.

You need to parking lot those feelings for sake of synergy.
Lol I should post his email he sent me last month when I asked if I could participate in the meetings via WebEx. I live a few hours away and work from home. He makes me travel to a local office for these hour and a half meetings. I spend 4-5 hours in traffic for a 1.5 hour meeting that is already broadcast on the web. But he feels it's important that I'm physically there. Not as a participant, but he likes an audience. So I end up billing an entire day to over head for a lunch meeting.

Depositions Monday, Tuesday and a meeting Wednesday morning in NOLA. But wife and daughter are going to be with me, so that'll be fun. I have an appellate brief and some motions due in December, so will probably end up working some hours everyday through the weekend.

Understand that. I have a project that is wrapping up and there's always a lot of decisions that need to be made. I've been on the phone with folks but am trying to avoid actually going in.

My wife and I are taking off midday Wednesday to drive down and will be staying in the Tampa Bay Area through Sun.

WOW someone is looking to make a statement and of course clean up with Christmas presents from the staff. Surprised someone above him didn't notice this and go hey there super star why don't we rethink the whole Wednesday meeting thing. Unless of course it is has a mandatory completion date and he screwed up his schedule management.

I'm officially off on Thursday and Friday. Working a loose schedule from my home office the other days. Gonna do a little fishing and flying just to relax a bit.

closing the office at 11:30 Wednesday for the rest of the week. Just asking everyone to keep an eye on email and respond to anything urgent

Will be in the office some Monday thru Wednesday. Have a few straggler tax returns to finish, some planning work to do - for clients, for me personally, and for my staff. Nothing major, much of it stuff that I can do while sipping a beer or, if I start thinking about football, slugging scotch.

Off the 21st thru the 3rd. Nothing planned but a 13 day staycation. Planning (hoping) to have most of my Christmas prep done before returning to work.

Leaving for Florida tomorrow for college and family visits through next Sunday. Will try to get as much work done as I can.

I’ll be having a nice thanksgiving meal early and then working. Providing Italian food and roasted turkey to the masses.

I'm flying to Houston Monday for two days of work meetings. Then head to Scottsdale to meet the family. Out there for a week. A quick stop in San Antonio for another meeting on the 29th and I am mailing it in for the rest of the year.

I assume you're employed by a restaurant. For years I helped cook a holiday meal that fed ~600 in our community. It was a lot of work but rewarding.

Yea I own a restaurant down here in South Florida. Unfortunately it is just work rather than rewarding work but it’s ok. Next year, I think we will be closed for the holiday.

I've had a lot of people ask me why I never opened a restaurant. Your answer is exactly what I tell them.
I've always thought that would be rough. Low margins, terrible hours, labor issues out the wazoo...I'm sure there are others.
