What's your work schedule over the Thanksgiving holiday?

I've had a lot of people ask me why I never opened a restaurant. Your answer is exactly what I tell them.

Well the overall business can be very rewarding at times. I’m speaking more towards working on holidays. You definitely need to WANT to open a restaurant and be in the business. My whole family is and was in the business so it’s in my blood and I have a passion for it. Luckily it has been a successful endeavor but most restaurants fail.

I've always thought that would be rough. Low margins, terrible hours, labor issues out the wazoo...I'm sure there are others.

The margins don’t really matter if you are busy and good at it. The financial rewards will come. However, the hours suck, although as the owner I do what I want, and you got it right on labor issues. That’s the biggest pain.

Yea I own a restaurant down here in South Florida. Unfortunately it is just work rather than rewarding work but it’s ok. Next year, I think we will be closed for the holiday.

In office Monday and Tuesday, split Wednesday in office/remote then remoting it Friday after I go pick up a laptop.

working every day except Thursday, Friday is optional, but I will use that day off in December when I burn the other 12 days of vacation before they try and take it back........

Working every day this week. When you are freelance you take whatever you're offered.

I'm out at 1 today and won't be back until Monday. When I leave here I'm going to the liquor store then the Lightning game.

I still have some PTO that I need to use before the end of the year so I'm going to have to use some next month.
