Which beer tastes the most like freedom?

Quite a few notches. Try their wake and bake, moohoo, and liquid bliss beers.

Yeah. Neither are my personal favorite brand but I generally like Terrapin a lot more than Sweetwater. I really enjoy hanging out at Sweetwater, especially when they have a decent band, in Atlanta but I seldom buy their beers outside of their home brewery. Terrapin on the other hand I’ll pick up relatively regular.

Yesterday I drank Breckenridge's Mango Mosaic Pale Ale. I don't like fruit in my beer, but for some reason I really like this one.
I am no beer snob by any stretch of the imagination but I had a mango-type beer at some craft brewery in Ohio and I thought it was quite tasty. I did not think I would like it as much as I did.

What's in that one, Coronado Sculpin?

My Sculpin rankings are
Grapefruit
Unfiltered
Regular
Habanero
Pineapple
Aloha

I had a couple small batch versions in the tap room, one was with spruce and it was excellent.
Not a Sculpin. It’s a DIPA. Same brewery.

Watermelon Dorado and Manta Ray are my favorite Ballast Point beers.

Last summer I was having lunch at a bar in Westwood and ended up having a conversation with distribution guy from Sierra Nevada. He was laughing about how much shit they give the Ballast Point guys about the fruity sculpins. He also told a great story about how Anchor had to name their dry-hopped ipa “odeprot,” because Sierra Nevada beat them to “torpedo.” He said that the anchor guys are pretty cool and that they took the odeprot name as a polite wink and nod and a gesture of friendly recognition.

Manta Ray is solid but the watermelon Dorado is too sweet for me. I can't find the "regular" Dorado out here any more and they didn't have it when I was in the tasting room.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a couple of these (they were on tap) after a round of golf.

It was a pretty damn good sour. A very good effort by Sweetwater.

I tried the Ballast Watermelon Dorado after seeing it in this thread. I was on my 3rd one about 20 minutes after getting home and noticed I was feeling extra tipsy. Looked at the label and was shocked to see it was 10% ABV!

I've also tried a few more of the Terrapins and tend to like them a lot. Overstepped their bounds with the T-time though (brewed with tea and lemonade). Went against my best judgement and bought it just because I liked their other stuff so much. It's terrible...almost pour down the drain level.
