Football Recruiting 2025 DE Jalen Wiggins shuts down recruiting process

2025 #FSU DE target Jalen Wiggins announced that he is shutting down his recruiting process.

Based on similar announcements you would expect this to include unofficial visits to FSU. With the Seminoles expected to take two HS DE's in this class it will be interesting to see if he cuts off communication with the FSU staff because I would imagine he would stay on their radar.

I could also see FSU circling back to Nicolas Clayton.

July 25 – Jenna Nighswonger and Casey Krueger (Short) will begin play for the U.S. soccer team against Zambia in the Summer Olympics. Emil Sams (Madril) is an alternate for the U.S. team. Onyi Echegini will begin play for Nigeria against Brazil.

July 27 – Swimming events begin in Paris Olympics Games. Julio Horrego of Honduras (200 breaststroke), Peter Varjasi of Germany (4x100 free relay), Emma Terebo of France (100 backstroke, 200 backstroke), Gloria Muzito of Uganda (100 free), Max Wilson of the U.S. Virgin Islands (100 backstroke), Ida Hulkko of Finland (100 breastroke) and Max McCusker of Ireland (4x100 medley) will compete in the first week.

July 28 – Leticia Romero, Maria Conde and Leonor Rodriguez begin competition for Spanish women’s basketball team vs. China

FSU is in the mix for a large number of football prospects who have not announced commitment dates in July. Kaliq Lockett (Aug. 9) and Josh Petty (Aug. 12) have also announced dates.

Morgan Metraux will also compete in women’s golf in Paris from Aug. 7-10.

Kimberly Williams (triple jump) will compete in track & field in August for Jamaica. Lauren Ryan (10,000 meters) and Linden Hall (5,000 meters) of Australia will also compete. Alonzo Russell of The Bahamas will run a leg of the 4x400 relay. Long jumper Jeremiah Davis, a recent FSU graduate, also made the U.S. team.

Football Recruiting ACC spotlight: Georgia Tech leads the way with 17 commits in June

Other than the weeks leading up to National Signing Day in December, there is no busier time in the recruiting calendar now than the month of June. The ACC had 123 commitments last month.
