If someone on the left wants to raise the age to own a gun to 25, would you think he/she was doing it with purely good intentions? Conversely, we've recently seen red states lowering the age and increasing the allowable hours to work in a plant in response to corporate donors.

Too often, these decisions are made to play to the base and not to protect the young.
