#100pagesnatty Thread 11/08/18 #63pagesnattynumber1 #106pagesnattynumber2

ok, I know everyone is excited about this new commit. And I've never played a SINGLE DOWN of competitive football, but is there something a little off with the way he throws the ball? I saw just a few throws on an instagram video and looks almost side-arm to me.

As in better weed.

It turns out there is one reputable scouting service that has him the #1 Pro QB although 88 overall as the consensus is this is a bad year for QBs. He’s lower in their consensus aggregate rankings that pool the rankings from theirs and other services. But he’s #1 in their specific and individual ranking.

It must be a weak year for QBs if your #1 isn't a 5*.

I haven't seen any video of him, but do you mean he throws Phillip Rivers-esque?

The idea for this post came earlier in the week when I saw the reaction to the commitment of four-star signal caller Sam Howell. Ranked as 247Sports’ No. 1 overall pro-style QB, Howell pledged to Florida State on Monday. Opposing fan bases quickly turned their focus to Howell’s 5.07-second 40-yard dash from about a year ago, igniting insecurity among some FSU fans. However, focusing on solely that metric ignores 1. Other quantifiable evidence that shows Howell is indeed an exceptional runner and 2. The fact that Taggart does not need a track star at quarterback.

“In his first three seasons a Sun Valley, Howell has thrown for 10,175 yards and 109 touchdowns, He has also run for 2,229 yards and 43 touchdowns.”

A dude who ran for more than 1,000 yards last year would be listed as a dual threat if he wasn’t white. He had basically double the yards on the ground as a Junior than Emory Jones had as a senior yet EJ is “dual threat”. They might as well change it from Pro and DT QBs to “White” and “Urban” QBs.

I trust in WT...I'm sure he made sure his first QB recruit is compatible with what he wants to do.

Unconventional throwing motion...solid runner but not regarded as a dual-threat...white...hmmmmm...

I agree, maybe it's the level of competition?

Competition may have indeed been responsible for such large numbers, but having said that, Herschel Walker, playing for tiny Wrightsville, faced only Class A competition. He seemed to work out pretty well for the Dawgs. Results are results.

Players play where they stay..With you ed.

Yeah, I know it is spring game (which is legendary) but I now think Hockman has played himself into a legit three QB battle now.

Khalan Laborn looked awesome, FSU nabbed four big name recruits, Taggart was so excited he high fived around the entire stadium (literally) and Vanilla Ice hung out with Michealangelo while the Gators just played duck, duck, goose on national tv. So all and all, a great weekend.

FSU draws 60K to their Spring game; Texas A&M draws 48K.

ESPN's headline: Jimbo Fisher debuts new-look Texas A&M to record crowd at spring game

That 48K attendance number is 3K more than the previous record which was set in the Manziel era.

From what I've read on other sites, Short Stack has his work cut out for him with that team. Their defensive backfield suuuuuucks.
