Florida State 2026 QB commit Brady Smigiel will visit the University of Washington this weekend. Now, why I don't want to make too much of an official visit with a little less than a year to go from the early national signing date for the 2026 class, I do think this means something.
Fish has been hearing that Smigiel was likely not going to be a part of the 2026 class and my read on things as been that FSU landed him because at the time of his commitment, Michigan took another, at that time, Brady Hart.
I believe the hiring of Malzahn and committing to a run first offense will eventually lead to Smigiel leaving the 2026 class to find a more pro-style QB friendly offense.
