What does everyone thing about this? I am not a fan of President Obama, but I TOTALLY agree with this strategy. If the world were to let this continue what would stop China from "building" island 12.5 miles off of the U.S. coast?

it would be much easier to take an existing island, like Catalina Island, Bermuda or Cuba, and forcibly resettle the inhabitants. That's how we got Diego Garcia.

P.S. the fact that the Brits own Bermuda is not an insurmountable obstacle. They owned Diego Garcia as well.
