Well we aren’t seeing Alpha now so my logic tells me that the vaccine is not worth getting now. It's what we already knew. Vaccines are not super effective against preventing infection against Delta. They are great at preventing severe disease or death. Vaccines are very effective against Alpha because that's what they were designed for.
There is some cross immunity against other variants hence why people that have the vaccine had a much lower change with Delta of serious illness or death in comparison to the unvaccinated and why it is worth getting.Well we aren’t seeing Alpha now so my logic tells me that the vaccine is not worth getting now.

I’m curious where to find those statistics, and whether they’re broken down by partially vaccinated, 2 shots and less than 14 days, 2 shots and more than 14 days, and 2 shots plus the booster. I can’t find it anywhere. I can find outlets making those claims or quoting someone making those claims, but nothing resembling actual, transparent data. There is some cross immunity against other variants hence why people that have the vaccine had a much lower change with Delta of serious illness or death in comparison to the unvaccinated and why it is worth getting.
Everyone of those natural immunity is better than vaccines studies also had data on those with both were by far the most protected.I’m curious where to find those statistics, and whether they’re broken down by partially vaccinated, 2 shots and less than 14 days, 2 shots and more than 14 days, and 2 shots plus the booster. CDC had links to studies at one point but can't remember which page it was on. Iirc they said that one shot after infection significantly boosted immune response, and they only recommended one shot.I’m curious where to find those statistics, and whether they’re broken down by partially vaccinated, 2 shots and less than 14 days, 2 shots and more than 14 days, and 2 shots plus the booster. Thank you. I'll look for it there again.CDC had links to studies at one point but can't remember which page it was on. Iirc they said that one shot after infection significantly boosted immune response, and they only recommended one shot.
Not true. Natural immunity within 6 months of having covid was most protective, by far. Then natural immunity more than 6 months from having covid + booster with a slim edge over just nat'l immunity + 6 months from covid.Everyone of those natural immunity is better than vaccines studies also had data on those with both were by far the most protected.
I’m not sure what you’re talking about with the six months. You aren’t even a candidate for the vaccine initially after infection. The studies show that getting a vaccine 3 to 6 months after infectio is by far the most effective way to prevent reinfection. Not true. Not a candidate? They've been giving the jab to folks 1 month or more from their first negative print. Just natural immunity (within 6 months of covid infection) was many times stronger than those with the vaccine, natural immunity or not.I’m not sure what you’re talking about with the six months. But I’m glad you agree that natural immunity plus vaccine is the best.
If the vaccine was created for Alpha and we don’t see alpha now then what is the value of a vaccine that isn’t effective against the main type?Your logic isn't logical.
Tell Colin Powell’s widow how effective being fully vaccinated is.There is some cross immunity against other variants hence why people that have the vaccine had a much lower change with Delta of serious illness or death in comparison to the unvaccinated and why it is worth getting.
Forgive me if I don’t believe half of what the news tells me.The news tonight said that as part of the data the FDA is reviewing regarding mixing boosters, those who received an initial dose of J&J and a Moderna booster saw a 76 fold increase in immune response. Impressive data.
The vaccine is effective against all VOCs...If the vaccine was created for Alpha and we don’t see alpha now then what is the value of a vaccine that isn’t effective against the main type?
He was 84, had blood cancer and Parkinson’s.Tell Colin Powell’s widow how effective being fully vaccinated is.
This is beyond ignorant.Tell Colin Powell’s widow how effective being fully vaccinated is.
Stopping to listen is important instead of doing research on facebook. Myeloma is a cancer of the blood and affirmatively affects B cells in your blood, which are key to your immune system. So having a vaccine (of any kind) decreases your chance of infection and hospitalization much less than normal. Colin Powell died because selfish, self centered, uneducated, easily distracted and misled people refused to help protect him. Not because vaccines don't work.Tell Colin Powell’s widow how effective being fully vaccinated is.
Par for the course. She fails to note that Alma Powell is recovering from Covid herself. This is beyond ignorant.
The definition of ignorance. What a shame that even now, you don't get it. Please close the door on your way out. Get a grip!Tell Colin Powell’s widow how effective being fully vaccinated is.
He was fully vaccinated. I feel that his cancer was truly his cause of death but the official word is it was covid so that is what we have to go with. Fully vaccinated didn’t stop the virus. Don’t push it when it doesn’t work.Stopping to listen is important instead of doing research on facebook. Oh good. More feelings vs science. Makes sense. He was fully vaccinated. I feel that his cancer was truly his cause of death but the official word is it was covid so that is what we have to go with. Fully vaccinated didn’t stop the virus. Don’t push it when it doesn’t work.
You realize that not just one thing kills people usually right? Like people with AIDS that die often time die of infections not caused by the HIV virus itself. The HIV virus can lead to AIDS, which prevents the body from defending itself leading to other diseases or infections taking hold and then killing the person. While HIV did not actually cause the death itself, the HIV led to the body being unable to defend itself hence why AIDS will still be listed as a cause of death. He was fully vaccinated. It would be wonderful if it was science used instead of agendas of control.Oh good. More feelings vs science. Makes sense.
All government action is control. It would be wonderful if it was science used instead of agendas of control.
When I worked in the hospital..............we had a term for some of the procedures we saw..........walletectomy!My 20 years working in the medical industry and having many MD’s and DO’s has proven to me that your statement has many exceptions.
Controlling a pandemic or controlling citizens? It would be wonderful if it was science used instead of agendas of control.
LOL..............yea we should all run around like feral animals doing exactly what we want, when we want, to whom we want. All government action is control.
I thought that was just divorce lawyers who work for women. 😂When I worked in the hospital..............we had a term for some of the procedures we saw..........walletectomy!
Grand Theft Auto but real life. Libertarian utopia. Speaking of which I've always loved this Libertarian police officer fiction:LOL..............yea we should all run around like feral animals doing exactly what we want, when we want, to whom we want.

You have to give it to them with the mark of the beast thing. Its the best one yet.Everybody is an "expert" and have "done their research." So many insecure well meaning people (including some doctors and many unhinged pastors) HAVE to believe in anti-government conspiracies; others have authority issues and simply will not be told what to do. Others have to be the smartest guy in the room and insist on winning the argument and NEED to outfox the virus. And then you have ignorance, emotional immaturity, indifference, the need for attention, and the need to be "different." Mistrust of government "tyranny" and misplaced distorted beliefs as this is the Mark of the Beast; my "favorite" excuse. And so many people love and NEED to argue. The argument itself meets many other unconscious needs for others. Common sense is no longer common.
The person that discovered it was the mark of the beast? You guessed it..............Albert EinsteinYou have to give it to them with the mark of the beast thing. Its the best one yet.
Want to pull all of the “covid deaths” out where the person was 84 or older, had Parkinson’s, cancer, diabetes or an intentional/unintentional poisoning/accident? I’d be happy with that and not including Powell’s under either covid or vaxxed death. He was 84, had blood cancer and Parkinson’s.
Well, no one is arguing whether or not it was a COVID death of a fully inoculated individual. It was a COVID death and it was a death of someone who was fully inoculated. But let's not play naive to the point at hand - some posters are trying to suggest something that isn't accurate, and should be called out.Want to pull all of the “covid deaths” out where the person was 84 or older, had Parkinson’s, cancer, diabetes or an intentional/unintentional poisoning/accident? Otherwise. It’s a covid death of a fully vaccinated individual.
Right. Like a substantial portion of the covid death count. I prefer we not play naive to either side of it, and stated so in my post. Fine to minimize the impact of the vax on Powell, but it's not a different situation than a material portion of the covid death count. This could easily be a vaccine death, if given similar loose standards to qualify as a covid death.Well, no one is arguing whether or not it was a COVID death of a fully inoculated individual. Wallets do make a difference in one's overall disposition. In this specific example, thickness matters.I thought that was just divorce lawyers who work for women. 😂
They have too much control. All government action is control.
