Fan Loyalty Question

Yeah, it's not exactly the Playboy mansion at GT now or anything, but based on my visits it's definitely upgraded from 20 years ago. Not that I care, since she's a girl.

There's really no grade or score "high enough" to be sure you get into GT, they reject people with 35-36 ACT scores to make sure they have at least SOME mix of kids on campus, but I'm hopeful that being a Caucasian girl will bump her over the top. I'm pretty sure she's a lock for admission to everywhere else she's applying, but I don't know if she'll get enough money from any of them. She'll go to UGA "if she has to", but she'd really rather go to GT.

I usually root for GT as a secondary interest anyway, so it will stay about the same for me.

I guess he didn't go to FSU? If you're not an FSU alumnus than I guess care who's walmart stuff you buy. I'd be a little bent if they were grads.

As for fanship, everyone wants to cheer for a winner. I grew up in Georgia and by proximity I was always sort of a Bulldog fan, so they have always been my SEC team. They have done less with more for the past 15 years than any other team out there, so now that we are having a down year and they are putting it all together, I'm cheering for them and have found myself to be more interested in their games on Saurday's than ours.

I'm not running out buying Bulldogs gear or anything, but if I only had our games to look forward to I'd be beating my head against the wall.

I disagree about alumni. We have major boosters that went to Uf and Miami. I'm working with a ex Miami football player now. We have FSU alumni that are UF fans. I will be giving money to UF soon as my niece will be going there for veterinary school, she's a Nole though. Typically if you are not vested financially in a athletic program you can be a band wagon fan that will blow with the wind. You can always love your school and not care about athletics
