Favorite card game

my nieces (frosh college) play a game called quim. you play with a partner. the goal is to get 4 of a kind. the trick is that you can't go out on your own. instead, when you have a winning hand its your partner who has to call "quim!". So you have to watch your partner, etc. At the same time, if your opponent recongnizes that you have a winning hand, and they call quim before your partner does, then you lose. so its less about the strategy of building a winning hand as it is about the social interaction with your teammates and opponent.

Now poker. Like playing home games where deal passes and dealer picks the game for a nice variety. Get some 5 draw, 7 stud and 7 no peek variations with and without wilds. And some acee -deucee and gut games.

As a kid, go fish, war and uno.

High school tunk.

With only 4 peeps, I like playing spades or canasta.

Interesting name. Did she come up with it herself?

She may want to find a different name for it once she looks up what quim means in the Urban Dictionary.
