Yeah, that's bull chips. Those dogs are stone cold killers. Might as well keep tigers or rattlesnakes in your house...

No it's true. Any animal regardless of nature becomes floofy bunnies once they're shown love. ;)

I'd say its both genetic predisposition and environment. Many breeds are know for certain traits. My Lab just knows to fetch. thousands of years of breeding and training, its just instinctive, never had to train her. Same with my old terrier going after rats. Sure you might be able to modify some behaviors, but hundreds to thousands of years of selective breeding doesn't get undone because you cuddle with your dog, then give it to a "stranger".

Just ask Roy. I think Chris Bridges said it best, "Can't turn a ho into a housewife, hoes don't act right. "
