Florida State basketball coaches Brooke Wyckoff and Leonard Hamilton will tip-off the Inside Seminole Basketball radio show season in the first dual radio show of the year at Glory Days Restaurant on Capital Circle Monday beginning at 7 p.m. Wyckoff will discuss the women’s fantastic 10-2 start to the season from 7-7:30 while Hamilton will give the Seminole fans insight to the men’s 8-3 start including Saturday’s victory over Tulane in the Orange Bowl Classic from 7:30-8:00.
Fans are invited to Glory Days (1926 Capital Circle NE) for an hour of breaking down both teams, their great starts, what is ahead in ACC play with Jeff Culhane, the Voice of the Seminoles and Jack Kavovit, the play by play voice of the Seminole women’s basketball team. Culhane and Kavovit will offer colorful information and banter that will bring out the personalities of both Wyckoff and Hamilton.
Wyckoff’s veteran squad is the second-highest scoring team in the NCAA this season, led by All-American Ta’Niya Latson, who is the nation’s leading scorer both in points (318) and points per game (28.9). She secured back-to-back ACC Player of the Week honors to start December and led the Noles with 32 points in the 101-51 victory over Drexel on Sunday.
Hamilton’s Seminoles are a traditional college basketball power and annually one of the top teams in the ACC. The men have won eight of their first 11 games of the season and are led by All-American candidate Jamir Watkins. Watkins is third leading scorer in the ACC with a career-high 18.7 points per game scoring average. He scored 29 points in the Seminoles’ 77-64 win over Tulane in the Orange Bowl Classic on Saturday.
