Josh Storms - Sorry for Length, but Important *1/13/20 and FINAL UPDATE IN THREAD*

***1/8/2020 Update***

The latest update on the caring bridge website was good to see. For once, Karson and his family had a quiet day full of quality time in his new room (a less intensive care unit). He looks so much better than he did a few days ago. I pray these positive developments continue for him and his family! Still, the photos of his state (even considering his improvement) break my heart as he’s still at a hospital and he’s still hooked up to machines. Nevertheless, these small victories they are getting are HUGE and can’t be overlooked!

Donation wise, we are at $8,139 since this was posted ($29,029 total) which continues to amaze me! Agree with @NoleFan2U that even a $5 donation makes a difference!

My family donated, but I couldn't comment so we will be one of those he can't tell is from a Nole/Auburn family. The help is more important tho. We donated $50 so you can update your Nole tally

I know how painful it is to watch your child struggle and there never seems to be anything that a parent can do to "fix it". Just be there for them and they will always know how much you care. As a NOLE NATION we always take care of our family. Prayers for Karson and his family.

***1/9/2020 Update***

Glad to see that Karson has had a few quiet days (for him and his parents)! Like @peanutfsu posted, pretty awesome that they have Karson decked out in Nole gear in appreciation of everyone’s generosity! While it makes me smile ear to ear, at the end of the day I feel this family owes nothing in terms of allegiance. This is just a lot of people (who happen to support FSU) doing a selfless act for someone in need. That said, it’s awesome to see how the generosity from all of you really showed this family how special FSU is!

All of that said, we are currently at $8,329 ($29,219 total). Man, $30k is not too far away...

Thanks again and continue to pray for Karson and his family!

***1/10/2020 Update***

Wow! What a day for a HUGE jump in donations. As of now, the total donated is $9,748 ($30,638 total)!! A MAJOR shout out to @JagOrNole for a massive donation that shot the overall to $30k and then many more who continue to contribute so generously! Ultimately, any donation has meant WORLDS to this family, so for that I thank you!!

According to the most recent update, Karson took a small step back with still needing to be on oxygen, but overall his progress has been positive. It’s a long road for both him and his parents (who are ever so grateful for your support)!

Thanks again for those who continue to donate, bump this thread, spread it on social media and pray for this family! This continues to be an awesome thing for this community and I hope it continues!

I have now posted this on Twitter and on the other forum where the refugees of Warchant now hang. Hopefully, it will gain some speed and get them to their goal!

I do not have many twitter followers so anyone with more cred on social medical, feel free to retweet it from my feed!

Would it be possible to have boxes outside the Garnet and Gold Game ( or maybe a big basketball game like UVA)? We could ask people for a buck. Some would give more, some none at all. Josh Storms is the football S&C coach so it might be better to stick with football. We could raise that money pretty quickly in that situation. Besides being a great thing to do for a child and his family it would be a beautiful thing for our fan base. Doing something for another person is always a blessing to the giver as well as the one who receives.

Don't know exactly who we could contact for this type of thing but let's start with @Jerry Kutz and @jamnolfin to get the ball rolling. I think it's a great idea. Let's make someone tell us no.

If you don't know the story, please read the first post on this thread or TL/DR: Our S&C coach needs our support for his cousin, this infant boy who is fighting every day for his survival. He is going to make it but some big bills lay ahead. Please give equal to your favorite Nole's jersey. Feeling generous? Add a zero to that jersey!

***1/11/2020 Update***

Quick update as I’m about to head out on a little trip with the family. We are now at $9,838 in donations ($30,728 total!). Awesome stuff everyone!

Also, the most recent update was one of the most positive so far so keep up the support and prayers! Karson is making a lot of progress, but far from out of the woods!

***1/12/2020 Update***

Another quick update as I question my life choices for taking my family to Disney for the weekend (with 2 more days to go)...

Currently, we are at $10,217 ($31,107 total)! This continues to be so awesome! In addition, according to the updates on his caring bridge page, Karson has had 2 good days in a row which seems to be a first and is an awesome development!

This family continues to be so appreciative of your generosity and support (along with Coach Storms as posted above).

Thank-you for continuing to keep it going and glad to see that MadSo got in the action too. Such an awesome thing.
