Basketball Updates: FSU plays UMass on Sunday (3:30 p.m. on ESPN2)

Florida State, which defeated Temple in its first game of the 2024 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off on Friday, plays UMass in its second game of the event on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

FSU (5-1) finished off Temple on Friday, 78-69. Malique Ewin had 15 points and nine rebounds, nearly securing a double-double. Ewin has scored in double figures in three straight games.

Jamir Watkins has scored 19, 17 and 19 in his last three games.

FSU is projected by KenPom to win 77-71. The Seminoles haven't opened 6-1 since the 2019-20 season.

Frank Martin is in his third season at UMass (1-3). The Minutemen are led by Jaylen Curry (12 points, 8.3 assists), Daniel Hankins-Sanford (10.3 points), Rashool Diggins (17 points). UMass opened with a win over New Hampshire but has since lost to West Virginia, Louisiana Tech and to Hofstra (75-71 in overtime).

The Seminoles defeated Hofstra 79-61 on Nov. 19.

FSU recently faced Martin when he was at South Carolina, with the teams playing in Rock Hill, S.C. The Gamecocks won 66-65.

As a reminder, the FSU-Western Carolina game was moved from Asheville, N.C., to Tallahassee on Tuesday night. If you're in the area, come out to the game. All proceeds will go to the MANNA FoodBank in Asheville.
