It was 3am after the uf game at their frat house. Some good natured s-talking turned into words, then fists and the football player "fraternity member" (who probably is only a brother in name and only invited to parties and photo ops) and another well known established brother or 2 get into a regular old drunken brawl that spilled out into the streets, with haymakes and sucker punches coming from all over. Friends hit friends, strangers hit strangers, fists flying errywhere, shirts come off, douchebags flex and bro this and bro that's are being yelled randomly in no particular direction. Cops show up and recognize Ricky and Izzo and are like....what in the hell, welp we dont want to deal with this, but...

Ricky and Roberto are Pi Kappa Alphas. The frat in question is Pi Kappa Phi.

Yes. From personal experience, I remember when my fraternity squared off with a bunch of the football players in the early 80s. They were in our local bar, about 12 of them, and one of them cold cocked one of our guys in the face in the bar over something he said. The bar quickly emptied into the parking lot. There were maybe 12-14 of them, and they were huge. On the other hand, there were probably 50-60 of us. Of course my short self had to follow the crowd. There was a face off lots of jawing with chests pumped forward, but after 10 minutes cooler heads prevailed and the players drove off. I really didn't know what the hell was going to happen and thought I might get my ass kicked. They had the size and we had the numbers.

One of the guys called Bobby at his house at 2am to bitch about the players. Not sure if he ever got through.

Guys on the front porch talk trash and guys passing buy the porch talk trash.

Let's not forget Ron Zook taking his team to the Pike house at UF to call them out for a brawl.

I don't think most people say they are good. On the other hand they aren't any different than most college kids. They simply have an organization with a governmental structure that can be attacked.

I posted some stats recently that 1350 college kids died per year from alcohol related deaths. I am sure more due to drugs. But they aren't part of a group, or a team that can be singled out. Maybe we should start prosecuting dorm RAs and Property Management companies for apartments for deaths that occur on their premises and for their failure to control their residents behavior.

Before the Olympics in Atlanta, there was a pizza place on North Avenue. A Tech offensive lineman (Transfer from UF) got thrown through the plate glass window by some frat brothers. They paid the owner for the window and no charges were filed.
