This deserves a thread of its own but does anyone remember Tallahassee’s Cafe Risqué in the early 90’s? I was in high school then. I believe it didn’t last very long....

Driving in SC up 95 towards NOVA and start seeing the Pedro caricatures with the assorted stereotypical slogans and jokes every 10 miles and amazed that it's still here. How in this day and age had this place not been boycotted, faux-raged on social media, and burned to the ground?

I need to read through this thread but those signs used to keep us entertained on the long car rides from south Florida to NJ back in the 80’s. I can’t believe it’s still there not only from a PC standpoint but I wonder is it safe? Meets today’s standards for safety?

Yep, was out on W. Tennessee. Had a friend that lived near it. We were prob in like 9th grade during its short stint.

Why doesn't Tally have any strip clubs? You'd think with the talent running around that city plus all the money and creepy guys floating around state legislature/lobbyists there would at least be a few.

I too remember it. My buddy's folks worked at LSCO and mentioned to him NOT to be there as they were gonna raid it and close it down. So we ended up getting drinks and popcorn and sat across the street the night they shut that place down in the DQ parking lot. It was on the NE corner of Tenn and Mission. There was also another short lived place (possibly even off Tenn St) but I know the one that got shut down in '92 ?

GwinnettNole, what HS did you go to?

@ReliableOstrich ,too conservative mindset, too many lewd and lascivious laws on the books. Heck, I still go buy alcohol on Sundays from the store and always wonder, am I allowed to do it today?

Back to SOTB...my fave of all time was "Pedro Says: You're Always a Weiner at South of the Border", with a pic of Pedro holding a hot dog. For some reason, that still cracks me up.
