As stated before I didn't care for they guy but inside of all the bluster and BS he did have some things that really bothered both sides. I think his recent coverage of the J6 events are what got him canned but that's just me. The rest is cover.
Being critical of those paying the bills (the pharmaceutical companies) could have had something to do with it, as well.

I guess the truth is something to fear...

I've seen up close how elderly and handicapped people would be prevented from getting their vote.

I'm glad I left the Republican party because of these issues. I won't vote Republican again until Trump is gone and they became more pro-Democracy rather than claiming non-existent voter fraud when they lose free and fair elections.

@NoleLizards I see you lurking. 😆

May I ask how these same people get prescription drugs without a valid ID? Or is that something that should be handed out with the honor system as well?

Can't speak for other states, but here in Florida (A.K.A. "God's Waiting Room"), the pharmacist is required by law to ask for photo ID if he/she/other is not familiar with the customer:

Depends on what you are getting. They want more information if it's a controlled drug,
Even to get non controlled substances that insurance pays for I have to show ID which is how it should be. How do they match the insurance, individual and prescription without it. Its really a no brainer same with voter ID.

Their doctors send prescriptions to the pharmacy and they pick it up.
I get that part. They are still required to check ID to confirm its the right person. How do you know otherwise? It could be the wrong person getting the meds.

Security questions include address and phone number on file.
Its still a check of some sort. One would think people would be universally for ID requirements for prescriptions, benefits, voting and certain purchases like guns and other dangerous items. I saw a guy in front of me get mad because the clerk asked for his ID to use a credit card. I told him he should thank her and not be a richard about it.

In 1975 the Church Committee investigation found that the CIA ran operation Mockingbird, which, among other things, paid top American reporters to distribute government propaganda as their own reporting. These reporters were at NY Times, Washington Post, CBS, NBC, AP, UPI, etc. This propaganda was characterized as conservative, anti-communist, pro-cold war, pro-war, etc. The program started in 1960. The following year (1976), newly installed CIA director George Bush publicly announced that the CIA would no longer pay reporters directly, but "hoped" for a continuing "good relationship."

Been going on for a long time....................
As well as.....

In 1975, the Rockefeller Commission's inquiry examined investigations by the CIA's Office of Security that included electronic surveillance and found two cases in which the telephones of three newsman were tapped in order to determine their sources of leaked classified information. The Commission wrote: "The CIA's investigations of newsmen to determine their sources of classified information stemmed from pressures from the White House and were partly a result of the FBI's unwillingness to undertake such investigations. The FBI refused to proceed without an advance opinion that the Justice Department would prosecute if a case were developed." They concluded: "The CIA has no authority to investigate newsmen simply because they have published leaked classified information."[14][15][16]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Mockingbird#cite_note-19

"Project Mockingbird, a telephone intercept activity, was conducted between 12 March 1963 and 15 June 1963, and targeted two Washington based newsmen who, at the time, had been publishing news articles based on, and frequently quoting, classified materials of this Agency and others, including Top Secret and Special Intelligence.[11]"

Anyone know the difference between 1960 & 1963? One leader goes down in history as the devil and the other the great white knight. High officials and government heads being assassinated. Competing commissions fighting against each other and accusations of malfeasance, war, civil unrest, Bay of Pigs ect ect.

Yet we are told, "never has the country been more divided". And what fools we all are to believe them.

I am all for ID in those situations. Just explaining the prescription aspect from by experience both personal and professional. And I will add that while I think ID should be required, it should also be free to obtain. Much like a SSN.

wrong! DL must be shown
Most pharmacies will only require the patient’s name, date of birth, and valid form of payment to pick up a prescription. However, some medications, for example, controlled medication, will require a valid ID.”

I've picked up prescriptions for other people with their credit card 20 times probably without ID.

(A mentally handicapped gentleman I know. I was never asked for ID and I told the pharmacy I was picking up for someone else.)

The only time I've ever been required to show ID at the pharmacy is when I'm picking up a controlled med like an opioid pain killer. Never for anything else.
At Walgreens I always have to supply DL and give DOB and zip code. No opiods in my medications. Obviously, some pharmacies are more diligent than others.

I don't know that it's a matter of diligence. Walgreens may have an internal policy above what is required by law. That's their choice.
We use Walgreens monthly. Have for years. Not been asked for an ID anytime I can recall at different locations in at least 4 different states.

I do not think that I have taken a prescription medication since childhood, with the exception of a couple of painkillers that the oral surgeon gave me after getting my wisdom teeth extracted.
Good for you! Seriously. I didn't take anything regularly until my heart issues were discovered.
