Two rather obvious observations from last night:

1. Shut down Dalvin Cook and we are basically bereft of an offense.

2. Why is it almost every year we see an ol in disarray, with inconsistent play, and with a center who looks like he is completely overmatched. With the exception of 2013 we have had problems every year on the offensive line. And yet we find other teams that build much more consistent ol play than we have. And this despite the rave reviews many have given Tricket for the ol recruiting. This is getting old.

Gratuitous observation:

I don't know what to make of the playcalling. Reminds me some of the NCState loss at their place several years ago with EJ Manuel ... JF refused to acknowledge that the playcalling was poor ... said the plays were there if blocked right. This seems to suggest that the defense did not play the call JF expected them to or that there were missed -- as there usually is-- assignments.

Also, it seems apparent that JF rarely attempts to stretch the defense with the deep pass.

JF has won a NC ... so I am not going to suggest he's inept. I am just curious.
