To alleviate blight the local CRA has been handing out millions and millions in development subsidies to a tight group of insiders for high end projects meanwhile over in the real blight there were six shooting incidents last weekend alone.

Not unique to Tallahassee. This is how local politics generally works, unfortunately. It seems like the Tally yokels pissed off the wrong person(s), which is presumably how all of this sprouted legs.
