Just got out of the open portion of practice. We got to watch about a half hour. (Thanks to Austin and Aslan for helping me with some notes)

They were in full pads again today. Some former coaches were in attendance, including Mickey Andrews, Jim Gladden, Billy Sexton and George Henshaw.

Kind of a humorous music offering — they played some Italian opera during field goals, which was interesting.

Ricky Aguayo still seems to be the best of the bunch on FGs.

Don’t think I saw Keith Gavin with the receivers. Not sure what’s up there, but will check on it. Also, D’Marcus Adams still seems to be out with his ankle injury.

Didn’t see Josh Kaindoh duding the open portion, unless I missed him.

During the WR drills, Jordan Young again had some really nice routes. He just missed making a grab on a deep corner route, and Dugans corrected him for extending his arms too early, which slowed him down a hair.

Dennis Briggs got a nice compliment from Odell Haggins for his work on the sled.

-They started practice with the ‘Nole Drill. Some individual winners I saw (from an obstructed view. Didn't see everything.):

Cedric Wood had a good rep, couldn't see the OL. ... Ryan Roberts had a nice block on Warner. ... Jamarcus Chatman had a good win. ... TE Alex Marshall had a nice block on Kalen Deloach. I think Marshall's blocking is really coming along. ... Looked like Asante Samuel had a nice rep. ... Tre McKitty appeared to win his block on Dontavious Jackson. ... Ontaria Wilson had a nice block that got a lot of praise from Dugans. ... Kevon Glenn had a nice rep to beat his blocker ... Camm McDonald delivered a nice block and got some praise from Taggart. ... Levonta Taylor and Khalan Laborn got into it a bit. Taylor tried to fling Laborn down at the end, so Laborn threw the ball at him. Nothing bad, and it broke up quickly.

The OL worked on really pushing the tempo even further. One impressive thing about this group is how well they communicate and how open they are when it comes to correcting each other. Not in a mean way, but helping each other.

The WRs also worked on catching passes in traffic, with teammates hitting them with dummy pads as soon as the ball arrived. That's about it for now.

Aslan and Austin will have video from practice coming shortly.

We just got Taggart too.

He also had a lot of nice things to say about Laborn. Said he actually came up short on a short-yardage play on Monday and got down about it. But came back Tuesday with a great day in full pads. Had several nice runs, including one that went for 70-plus.

Said he's really been impressed by the running game so far in camp. Reiterated that Blackman has a better understanding of the offense but that Hornibrook is doing a nice job.

We spoke this morning with RB Khalan Laborn, OL Ryan Roberts, OL Brady Scott, WR Warren Thompson and TE Camm McDonald. We might be getting Willie too.

Khalan Laborn is extremely grateful to be back full speed again after his injury. He said he had two nice runs yesterday in 11-on-11. One was a long run that really let him know that he's got all of his speed back. He also talked about how much better the running game is now.

Brady Scott really raved about how much more fun the OL is having this year. Said they have really come together under Randy Clements. He also said he is MUCH heavier and stronger than a year ago and can feel the difference when trying to move D-linemen in practice.

Ryan Roberts said he's seen great work ethic from the team. He singled Alex Hornibrook out as the hardest worker he's ever been around. He said his goal was to be the hardest-working guy on the team, but Hornibrook outworks him. He also called Dontae Lucas a "dog."

Warren Thompson acknowledged that he was disappointed last season about redshirting, but added that he now knows it was a good thing. He said Asante Samuel is one of the guys he really looks forward to competing with in practice.

Camm McDonald gave credit to the strength staff with helping him transform his body. Said the tight ends are also spending a lot of time working with the OL on blocking. Said he wants to be more of a complete player, not just a big receiver.

Good morning!

We'll be doing interviews this morning around 9 a.m. ET, followed by the practice viewing portion.
