Finally had the opportunity to watch Wilcox's report at the last BOT meeting. He had some interesting things to say.
There are 126 universities on the major level and only 22 are cash flowing. FSU is one of them.
Athletics gave back 2.6 million to the school. (isn't this something many say SEC schools can do but FSU can't?)
Booster support for 2014 was 19 million.
Neutral site games will be used more in the future. FSU isn't interested unless it can get $1 million more than it would for a home game. He said for the Bama game it will be more like 2 million.
He talked TV ratings and the CFP championship had an 18.2 rating but basketball wasn't too far behind, 16.0 for its championship.
He said ACC revenue to FSU for 2014 was $22 million total. Please note this is not this year when CFP money will come into play. But of real note he said the conference share will be growing in the next couple of years because the conference is "in negotiations on a couple of major items" that will bring in major growth of the conference share. Sounds like an ACC Network to me.
No questions were asked about the ACCN. Just one question about home game revenue vs. neutral site.
No one moved to fire him.
