Now we are watching the same skating in both channels. What happened to skiing? They do a terrible job of telling us what is going on, and not much in the way of informational graphics this time.

As I said earlier, NBC's coverage has not impressed me. It has often been pretty bad.
Yea, right after I posted that, they finally went back to skiing. Can't believe Vann overshot that turn.
This skiing (watches last night) is amazing how fast and how steep the hills are.

Curling is the only winter event that I would even attempt to participate in under the influence. Ive actually heard of mixed curling beer leagues, would probably be a blast.
What is up with our athletes this year? No eye of the tiger. Lots of favorites finishing in 4th,5th, and 6th.
Meldonium. Same stuff Sharapova (and hundreds of other Russians) failed for and partially the reason the Russians are competing as OAR right now.
She landed hard on that last one. She stayed down a long time, although some of that might have been from disappointment.

I had to go find another article to 1) confirm you weren't sneaking in some sort of onion article and to 2) get more info on how it was done. Funny how the announcer was trying to make it seem like a legitimate run. Made me think of poor Scott Sterling.

A lot is mass, but also the muscle that comes with that mass. That said, 538 did analysis that showed the speeds weren't very different and Vonn always said she would have liked to have had the opportunity to compete, even if she wouldn't have won.
