One way you can look at it is he took a shot with his guy who was 1 vs 1 with the other team. it was a 50 50 ball and the other team made a play and our wr couldn't.

When Norvell got here he was blowing smoke about making our special teams great
Well we don’t make kicks, have 2 or 3 missed extra points
We don’t rip off big return or even block up returns very well
We ran into the punter twice ( one was a no call vs Notre Dame)
Coach runs a gimmick offense, makes bad decisions on fourth downs when to go and question play calls when we do go and doesn’t even coach up special teams well after claiming that would be a strength

Jimbo salvaged another title based off the brand Bobby built and our 1/100 chance of going back to back on a national championship coach. And I know he was horrid towards the end but if we had Bama money we would have given him 8M a year and a new staff and a FoF and he would have never thought of leaving.

We struck out on one bad HC hire in Willie while other programs have the financial support to swing and miss on multiple hires before they find a winner. We were never going to go 100% on HC hires.

And now here we are, with an unproven coach because we had to go cheap and have no option to restart again.

We have a fertile recruiting ground but there is a reason us and Miami are a mile behind the competition and it is purely money.

I was able to spend a little time talking to Jermaine Johnson this week. The guy is having an All-America type season so far ... he leads the country in sacks and leads all defensive linemen nationally in total tackles. He also insists he has no regrets about leaving Georgia, a national title contender, for an FSU program that is currently 0-3.

1- simply replace the offensive staff with any other staff
2- after the coaches are swapped out we get all of Alabamas offensive team from the transfer portal
3- replace every single coach on the defensive side
4- get the water boy or equipment managers to dress out at DB

If not for 3 Covid cancellations last year. He’s also not won a road game at FSU, lost to an FCS team at home on a walk off Hail Mary, and is 0-4 for the first time since 1974 at FSU. The hardest thing to do with an investment is to cut your losses. The red flags are everywhere, but fans keep shifting the goal posts every week and taking moral victories for a half decent half of football here and there. This thing is going nowhere.

Why is it when other teams in the ACC is call for targeting, the referees come back and say no targeting, but when it comes to FSU, they always call it on us.
