i watched a football life on him and he said that something that really struck me. He said people say that football is a collision sport and it is BUT it doesn't need to be. He wanted his teams to hit the other team first and it struck me b/c i was like yeah, be the aggressor. Watching a replay of the WF game i saw a lot of defenders catching blocks, wrs catching blocks ont he outside. I can't think of many plays where someone squared up and attacked. Seems like they are on there heels so much. Does that come from sucking or not knowing what you are doing and thinking too much?

Wednesday morning practice updates — 11:50 (with interviews)

11 — They’re doing a lot of work with the ones and twos against the scout team, so not a ton to report.

I would say I think overall the energy has been really good. Not seeing any drop off in intensity or anything despite the losses.

Obviously have to continue to play better, but attitudes have been very encouraging today IMO.

10:30 — Some highlights from one-on-one drills

Helton had a great leaping catch in goal line on a pass from Milton

Malik McClain had a strong catch on the sideline

Meiko Dotson had a nice interception.

There’s been a lot of good competition in various drills. Norvell is coaching some guys very hard, especially in the secondary.

———

10 a.m. — They’re working on scout team stuff now.

Also did some more 11-on-11.

Milton took a sack on his first play and then hit short passes to Treshaun Ward and Jordan Wilson. McKenzie is definitely moving around well and throwing on the run when needed.

Purdy had a pass to DJ Williams that went for a big gain, and he also had a good pass to Darion Williamson that got dropped. Also threw one away due to pressure.

——

9:30 — They’re going to practice inside the IPF today.

Milton took the two-minute drill and didn’t have a ton of look against the defense. He did complete a third-and-long pass to McClain and then hit Pokey for the first down.

But the drive fizzled out. Too much pressure up front. DeLoach almost had a pick on one play.

They’re working on scout-team stuff right now.

Good morning!

Heading out to Wednesday practice. Look for updates around 9:30.

Michael,

What are our chances here since he’s coming to town this weekend? Ivy League kid so looks like coaches are realizing you need player coaches on the field to quarterback the defense.

this is the second most important recruit in my opinion as I’m telling you we need guys who can help get others lined up and see things before they happen!!

Seminole Boosters

I recently made my annual donation to the Seminole Boosters and if you haven’t done so yourself I strongly suggest that you should for obvious reasons. I also made a donation to a community college I attended before transferring to FSU.

Donating to the CC was far easier and 10 times faster. I received one of those mailers you can’t rip up, I scanned my phone over a code on the mailer, and it took me to a website where I made my donation in minutes.

Donating to the Seminole Boosters on the other hand is stuck in the 1990s. The website is impossible to make a donation from so I have to break out the check book, write a check and mail it in. If the Seminole Boosters want to increase their donations, get with the 21st Century and make it easy to donate.

Bailey Hockman/Amir Rasul update (for those who are interested)

Bailey Hockman is one of those guys who will be in college for like 10 years. He's already on his 3rd FBS team. Both guys are playing for Middle Tennessee State. Week 1 they routed Monmouth (as one would expect)

Bailey is starting.
17-22, 215 yards, 3 Tds 0 ints

Rasul: 7 carries 18 yards
(Most carries out of all the backs)
