While in the long run it shouldn't matter, but that extra breathing room that United gets with Fellaini's goal to go up 3-1 is huge. Perhaps United will rest a few first teamers then. I was surprised to see the same 11 start the UCL game on Tues. Playing twice a week this early can't be easy especially since most EPL teams have had shorter than normal training camps (I'm assuming United did as well).
