The hapless O's are up next...Hope the Braves can take care of business against a poor team this weekend.Agreed ... a good run against some not-so-good teams ... games they should win, and they did.

Love the avatar. I did a Palace 5k run a loooong time ago. Used to shoot pool there some back in the day.Remaining schedule is not too daunting, a trip out west to play the Dodgers, Padres and Giants will be a tough ask. Other than that a lot of games against the Orioles, Marlins, Rockies and Diamondbacks. Last week has the Phillies and Mets, should be an exciting finish.
He did hit a nice dinger today. Not sure why you think Soler was a steal … he came in batting .196 and is now batting …. .198
Indeed he did … he’s a physical specimen … Smith still makes me nervous… he won’t get away with putting men on base against the better teams. He did hit a nice dinger today.
Good to see Atlanta take care of business against these weaker teams The Braves are heading home, but the level of competition is about to go up with the Yanks and Giants coming to town.Indeed he did… Smith still makes me nervous… he won’t get away with putting men on base against the better teams.
Snit's doing a good job, but I'd avoid risking ripping my arm out of socket patting myself on the back...The schedule has now gotten real.I remember when the Braves couldn't get above .500 if it was handed to them, and now they're, what, 12 over?
I don't hear the Snitker whiners anymore for some reason. Maybe he does know a little more about this business than the rest of us. I wonder where they might be if Acuna hadn't gone down.
I am not a big fan of Snitker's ... We will see if the Braves can win tonight ...Snit's doing a good job, but I'd avoid risking ripping my arm out of socket patting myself on the back...The schedule has now gotten real.
Last night was another testament that you cannot give up walks, hit batters, and still expect to come away with a win against the top tier teams. ... Ynoa looks to have a great future ahead of him.I thought they would get to Montgomery early. The Braves had a lot of hard hit balls that were caught. There just isn't enough pitching yet. Ynoa did well for most of the game but he's very emotional and gets in his own way. He's still young and new, hopefully this year prepares him for the next. Santana was entirely predictable.
With all that said you don't win many games only scoring one run.
Maybe Atlanta should just sit out the rest of the regular season ... they would likely win their division by default with all the continuing losses by the Phillies and Mets.
Reminds of how Curly would always get picked to volunteer because Moe and Larry would take a step back while he stood still.
If we do make the playoffs (it is looking good at this time), I'm expecting to get slapped in the face in the post season.
Well, at least he didn’t walk anyone.Awesome game tonight with the comeback! Smith has to be the luckiest closer in mlb. Most players simply smash his pitching.
Exactly. Looking at the box score (start time too damn late to watch) we had the lead in two of the three games in late innings only to have the bullpen lose it. Frustrating in one sense but encouraging with a few good trades and a little better injury luck we could be an elite team. The level of competition has flipped and it shows.
Well, the Braves had the lowly Rockies this weekend...Once again, Atlanta's baffling tendency to fail to dispatch bad teams comes back to bite 'em in the rump. The rest of the Phillies schedule looks more favorable than the Braves schedule. Atlanta has some work to do to win the division.
One of my reservations about Snitker is that he sticks with some pitchers way too long … like Folty for example.“Touki gives you a couple great games a season and looks like a Cy Young winner those days. Then there is bad Touki you have deal with the rest of the season. I see why they keep going back to him and maybe there is a pitching coach that can break through and make him into the excellent pitcher he should be. Unfortunately, the Braves don't have a pitching coach up to the task.
You should immediately contact a daily fantasy site whenever he goes to the mound to bet the house on the next guy homering then. 😁Rick Kranitz has been around the league for a long time and failed to find success at any of the stops and been let go at them all. Something odd I have noticed and not sure there is a stat to confirm but it seems like on multiple occasions he has gone to the mound to talk to a pitcher only to see that pitcher give up a HR on the next batter this season. I'm thinking 3-5 times this season maybe, crazy?
Phillies on a four game win streak… Atlanta on a four game losing streak. You should immediately contact a daily fantasy site whenever he goes to the mound to bet the house on the next guy homering then. 😁
Man, the Braves just can't get out of their own damned way! They've blown a chance to put a hammer lock on the East during this homestand against teams with losing records. ...And now, Atlanta heads out west for a long road trip which starts with the Giants and ends with the Padres. If Philly can catch fire, they could well be in the division lead following this stretch before coming to the ATL to close out the month.
