Agree ... they have the fourth-best winning percentage in MLB behind only the Dodgers, Astros and Mets. That is formidable, especially for a wildcard (as it currently stands).
The Cardinals have been red hot as of late. A sweep is a big ask. That said, the Braves are -175 tonight. Let's hope Vegas knows something.
Got a little excited when the Rockies took a 6-4 lead earlier, but of course the Mets come back to win in the ninth.
Another strong outing for Strider … for a rookie he has come up big in some big games. He’ll only get better with experience.

Braves fail to take advantage. Two nights in a row the bullpen blows a late inning lead.
The Braves won last year in spite of their bullpen with pitchers stepping up and outperforming their regular seasons. Doing it in back to back years is a heck of an ask. The pen seems to be the one group AA struggles with.
I watched the game right up until Minter gave up the home run to make it 3-3. Sensing that another frustrating loss was in the offing, I recorded the last part of the game and checked later for a score update ... 6-3 St Louis.

Two big series coming up for the Braves. They need to sweep the Rockies while they need L.A. to sweep the stinkin' Mets. Time to break the 3-4 game buffer they've been stuck on and finally put some pressure on NY. See if the stinkin' Mets are finally gonna Met.
Sad to say, but it simply appears that this is the Mets' year. They repeatedly overcome deficits as the Braves do the opposite. 😟
And Duvall, and Albies, and Freddie is in L.A......maybe too much to overcome and catch the stinkin' Mets for the NL East title this year.
