Staying there this week for a few days for work. I love the place. My favorite Marriott property that I've stayed at here, which before now was the following:

JW Marriott New Orleans
New Orleans Marriott
Renaissance Pere Marquette
and now...the Q&C.

Anyone else ever stayed here before? I'm not sure what it is I like about it so much, but it hits on cylinders for me.

I don’t think I’ve stayed at any of those from memory. I usually stay at the Roosevelt, Hotel Monteleone, or Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Two of those for proximity and one because I love the Sazerac bar.

I stay there all the time. Cool story about the building being the housing for the Crescent train line and the Queen train line (New Orleans and Cincinnati). It's right in the middle of everything and usually very inexpensive. We (wife and little one) will be spending December 6 - 9 there.

Yeah, I’m a Marriott whore. I’m sure I miss out on all sorts of cool boutique properties due to my ever present quest for points.

Marriott's improving its boutique line. If you are ever in Baton Rouge, stay at the Water Mark downtown. The new EMC2 in Chicago was incredible. I presume you are going to take in typical creole food, however, there is a really good Thai place about 4 blocks away. Halal Guys is one block away if you need greasy food to soak up booze.

Plus the extra 750 points a night instead of the breakfast option is pretty good.

It's their spacious rooms, world-renowned commitment to guest experience and excellent cuisine.

On second thought, it's probably the cocaine and trannies.
