I had to be away from the computer to watch the game. Letting them back in the game really made it unnecessarily close and stressful. Michigan sure had answers for FSU coming out of the half. "Why didn't the same stuff work in the second, it worked in the 1st..." Ugh!

Damn. That went how everyone expected.

And why all the confetti? That is wasteful. I feel for the people that have to clean that up.

Last college football game in the Dome, probably wanted to go out big. Would t be surprised to see tomorrow's Falcons game get the same treatment, that is, if they beat the Saints.

I'm impressed that all of Dabo's quarterbacks have literally regressed over their time at Clemson, yet he still manages to recruit elite quarterbacks.

Jameis made some bad decisions, throwing into tight windows, his second year. I never felt like his skills or ability to read a defense regressed, just that he got overconfident. His draft placement seemed to confirm that. Taj Boyd and now Deshaun Watson actually got worse, and it seems like their pro prospects have followed suit.

I know Venables makes a fortune at Clemson, but the guy's worth it. He needs to take a head coaching job somewhere.

Watson has gone from being projected as the first QB drafted to not being included in the first round of the mocks I've seen.

I have seen the same, I think someone( with a good QB coach) will get a steal in second round

What was the most watched?
  • A Top Game of 2016 on Any Network: The Seminoles’ victory was the second most-watched college football game this season on any network, trailing only another Wolverines game — the Michigan-Ohio State overtime thriller on ABC (November 26, 2016).

And speaking of Louisville, it's hard to believe that there isn't a serious problem inside their program. The same guys who boat-raced us and played Clemson hard now can't get out of their own way.

It was ridiculous how big a deal the announcers made of his absence, inferring it was why FSU was winning and yet no mention of the fact our best player on defense was not playing due to injury in September. I thought having Brian Griese call the game was bad form by ESPN. He was clearly rooting for Michigan.
I thought Griese was very impartial and if anything, was harder on Michigan, during the whole game.

Man the playoff games seem to be snoozers. We get a break from the bowls today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy New Year!

Except that early in the game he said the Michigan's defense was more than one player and while they would surely miss Peppers, his absence wouldn't be a determining factor. By the end, that had reversed to how FSU wouldn't have had the big plays that led to their victory with Peppers in the game. Can't have it both ways.

I'm sure you're right. Maybe I missed some of his comments. I was drinking pretty heavily. I just remember during the game thinking, "he's definitely not sounding like a Michigan homer."
